Re: has anyone tested the gas light?

It has been a while but early models had a sticking gas float. I had about a quarter tank of gas and light never came on to warn me when I finally ran out of gas I looked my trip meter (which I set it each time I fill up) it showed 354 considering when warning light comes on it usually reads around 270 so yes you probably could go another 40 or 50 miles but remember a lot of factors may change that Automatic versus Manual, tires (back then I had the stock size tires) road conditions.
