check out the Nov 2007 issue of Car Audio and Electronics. It is their annual DIY issue. Pg 78 starts an article titled "The Basics of Fiberglass Fabrication: How to Fabricate an Enclosure".
I just fiberglassed for the first time making a custom face plate for a Z2. It is fairly easy to do as long as you are using a flat finish as you can go back and correct mistakes until it looks right.
