Re: OT: Photography Thread

I use a pair of Nikon D200s and a set of Nikkor glass including the 70-200 2.8 VR and 17-55 2.8. Couple SB800s speedlights, an SU800 and a SB600. At times I work with a very basic and compact mobile studio setup that runs off the hardwired inverter I installed in the FJ. And I believe in quality support, so I use a Gitzo G1325 carbon fiber tripod with an Arca Swiss ball head. Last summer for kicks I cut down a sapling on a hike in the smoky mountains and turned it in to a walking stick/monopod with a manfrotto 3232 tilt head on top and a non-slip grip below it.

When it comes to upgrading, I always skip a generation. So no D300 for me. I'll wait for a bigger jump in MP to get more bang for my buck with the D400 or D4x
