Since you are staying in Sedona then you will have some great options..
Broken Arrow is iconic and you really have to run it..2-3hrs
Oak Creek Homestead is also very nice and a great place to have picnic lunch...2-3hrs
The only other one I would recommend is Dry Creek/Van Deren Cabin just because of how pretty it is.
Then when are you going to Flagstaff go up Schenbly Hill road to see more sight.
There is a old steam train that goes from Williams to the Grand Canyon that is cool for the little ones.
I will be involved in the Calico Cleanup on the 16th-17th but aval during the week with daytime free time if you want someone to hit trails with.
Also I have more detailed gps/trail guides for Sedona on adventure4x4.net or I can email them.
