I made my own set of brackets on the factory rack using some u-bolts and a piece of flat bar. I'm not sure if it was worth it or not... After some criticism on the forums, I'm paranoid that the thing's gonna snap with any significant force... But, on another note, I used a bicycle seat lock from REI. I can use a small padlock to keep it secure. Anything beats nothing. Locks are only protection against an honest thief.
