DUDE! What was wrong with the K1200rs?(or was it just a "Taxi cab"?) that you called it a lemon? I traded my 98 K12rs last year for a 07 R1200GS. I LOVE this bike to death!
The K1200RS is a good bike (albeit a bit too heavy w/a tendency to nosedive in hard braking and tuck-in on turns), but the one that I got was truly a lemon. Kept leaking through the front engine plate -- 3 plates replaced -- so I traded it in on the Ducati, which wasn't a tourer, but was a fantastic road legal race bike that made me feel like a king when I road it, but was a much better machine than I was a rider. If I could afford to just let $17K sit in the living room, I would have kept it and put it there just to look at it.

BTW, I think the 1200GS is better than the 1200RS, but I'm probably going to go w/the ST1300 instead or maybe a used ST1100 to save $$.
