The K1200RS is a good bike, but the one that I got was truly a lemon. Kept leaking through the front engine plate -- 3 plates replaced -- so I traded it in on the Ducati, which wasn't a tourer, but was a fantastic road legal race bike that made me feel like a king when I road it, but was a much better machine than I was a rider. If I could afford to just let $17K sit in the living room, I would have kept it and put it there just to look at it.

My K12rs did the same thing.
After the dealer tried to repair it three times I just learned to live with it.
I test ride for Aeroflow windscreens(the same guy's that make the headlight covers for our FJ's) Paige did a screen for the honda ST1300. I have to say that it is the most lackluster motorcycle I have ever ridden! It is very automotive feeling to me. (just MHO) I thought of the BMW R1200RT, but could not see spending that much at this time. The R1200GS is the BEST handling motorcycle I have ever ridden bar none! If you want a sport tourer, then put a Aeroflow screen on it and WHAMMO!!! you have a touring machine that can go ANYWHERE!( I know they are ugly, but ride one you'll see what I'm talking about!) If you want a canyon carver then use the stock screen and you can carve with the best of them! I'm
posting the pic I did on Saturday for those that didn't see it. Just a side note , The Duc. ST3 1000 was the beat bike Paige has let me ride so far for handling!
P.S. love the avitar, I'm into Jazz too! AND a 1964 Honda 305 Hawk was the first motorcycle I ever got a ride on!(I was 5yrs old and KNEW at that moment I wanted to ride the rest of my life!)
