I am traveling from Phoenix up to Canada to run the Continental Divide on dirt all the way to Mexico with a stop at the Fj Summit.
On my way north I plan to stop over in Salt Lake City for a dinner meet & greet with 4x4 clubs to bring attention to Disabled Explorers, a resource I am working on to help with disabled use of vehicle dependant access to the backcountry. I want to fight trail closure and get more folks in the great outdoors.
It would be great to meet up with your group..the plan in still in the works but at this point it looks like I would be in Salt Lake City Sunday July 6th (after driving up from Las Vegas). After a 7 hr drive I doubt I will have time to hit a trail but an outdoor/park/trailhead meet & greet with hotdogs and such would be great..we can camp or hotel either that night.
I know this is only 1 night out of your 2008 plans but it would be a great attention getter for you group, promote a good cause and nice chance to meet all of you that won't be the Summit.
