Re: I have a question about border crossings.
Just don't try BSing the border guard when you cross. Canada and the US now share computerized information systems.
At the Sarnia crossing Canadian border guards have refused Americans entry in to Canada for old offenses -- ones like DUI when they were much younger. If you were convicted the US border guards will have access to that information.

yah i prolly will just to be safe. who knows, with the prior on my record from 7 years ago they may send me home either way. but i've read that they will only look up that kind of info if you give them just cause or are all shifty n stuff. that and they have to take you inside and do more reserch or something into your past. no biggie, should be fine.
and i know the question will come about what the charge was, got a year of probation for beating the crap out of a guy that decided it would be fun to stalk my GF at the time. judge asked me if i assaulted the guy, i said yes, he asked why i told him, he said that i shouldn't even be getting charged but to learn me a lesson on letting police handle it he was giving me a year of probation. Even my proby said i shouldn't of had that on my record. oh well.
