Re: Which options

Thank You, Calcote, for being a true hero.

Can't tell you much about the TRD short throw, but I've got the TRD performance cat-back and air filter. As far as I am concerned, the beneficial gain in the exhaust is simply in the deeper (throatier) note it gives you. I am relatively certain that the actual performance gain is negligible. I have driven several without the TRD exhaust, and I cannot detect any noticeable power increase in mine. I will caution you, however, that the exhaust sound with the TRD is quite a bit louder in the cabin. At around 2000 rpm, I can clearly hear the exhaust note above normal listening level music. This doesn't bother me, but I have read in other threads on here that some people have been bothered by this and had wished they didn't purchased the TRD exhaust. As far as the air filter, again, I'm not sure it has any real HP gain, but it does have the advantage in that it is reusable. You just wash it with water, re-oil it and you're good to go. Theoretically, you never have to pay for a filter replacement.

Hope this was helpful and accurate. Come home safely!
