From a few shop owners that I've talked to, they unanimously said the Wilson is superior to the Firestick. When given the choice, chose metal instead of fiberglass. Unless you're running a amped unit, the Little Wil is already adequate. You can go up for peace of mind. Obviously the longer antennas will have better reception. I'm not familiar with FGT. I use magnet mount Little Wil. Never an issue with it falling off. Since it's on the top of the roof, it stick out much further then any of the hinge mount types. The draw back is that it's not permanent and it can sometimes hit low hanging trees. I'm not cognocent of the shortcomings and will slow or stop to tilt the antenna instead of hitting it. It's not tuned yet, but it's coming through nicely.
