Yeah, it means that you have driven 5,000 miles since the last time someone reset it.

Turn ignition key on, make sure your odometer is on the main reading (not trip "A" or "B"), turn key off, press and hold the odometer reset button, continue to hold it while you turn on the ignition, continue to hold it for about five seconds until it quits beeping and flashing. You have now reset it for another 5,000 miles.
