Okay, so I have an appointment for next Friday morning at Safelite Lake City for the windshield replacement and here is the quote for full-price replacement.

"Safelite AutoGlass will replace your WINDSHIELD for your 2007 TOYOTA FJ CRUISER 4 DOOR UTILITY. Your price including labor and moldings if required is $ 704.90 + your local sales tax."

Talked to someone there and they said they have done about 20 FJ's so far, so here's hoping for a good result!
Just my .02 cents ....... been down this road so I speak with a little experience, but when mine was replaced (by Toyota because they cracked it) I was told by more than one service mgr that when replacing the windshield it is paramount for a proper seal to also replace the upper molding & that it is virtually impossible to remove the windshield without damaging the upper molding due to the amount of sealant and plastic unremovable clips.

This being said, I might be a little suspicious of a quote that states "and moldings if required". Besides if they don't need to use the upper molding, which is not cheap, why would the cost be the same with it or without it? $704 is relatively cheap compared to any other w/s replacement I've heard of for the FJ.

Just food for thought. And I wish you luck whichever way you go.
