Re: Utah Cruisers Feb. 24 mini gathering

We should probably decide if there's someplace worth taking a run to or not. That would probably decide where to eat. I'm itching for Spring. I've got some very cool runs in the Uintas plotted on the topo's for all of us and several end in old Spanish mines or Ghost towns . Before we thaw though everything is really just mud and snow in the west desert or one of the 5/9/11 mile passes to the south. I'm going to see if anything is kept open to Tooele. There are also some very obscure Pony Express (not the usual national monument stuff) stops out that way we might be able to find in winter. There are all sorts of trails I bet are open or close enough out towards Wendover but that really takes a long, full day or an overnight at State line to do.
