I agree with his 3 picks. But again, from the other thread, you have to decide if you can live with the cold in A.Camp and Placerville. BEAUTIFUL areas. The A.Camp area has a growing wine region.... so it's no longer just a "hick town". You know about the jumping frogs of Calaveras County, yes?... that area has a LOT of history. Google pictures of its Main St -- right out of an old Western flick.
