Safari Snorkel installed yesterday. Big thanks to MudLovingFJ (time to update your sig!) who brought his past experience installing these and performed a flawless install. Mattmainster also dropped by and offered a hand (thanks for the Socal stickers!).
Chances are I won't be crossing any deep rivers any time soon, but hopefully having the snorkel will keep me from seeing this in my intake tube:
