As stated, if you really want to lead a small group run, get very familiar with the trails! There are runs from fun to "Oh ****e". You decide what you want to do and go from there! The other thing I'll insist on is practicing your recovery skills! Get stuck and muddy then get out of it using safe methods! Don't know any recovery techniques? Find a couple of folks who do and practice getting stuck and unstuck! (Sounds damned fun!) Can't find anyone willing to help you out? Yup of course the trail leader should be someone who is experienced in wheeling, spotting, recovery, trail etiquette, safety. Ive met most of you guys and I know that that wont be problem from this group.
