Well Boss I sure hope you find an easy/cheap solution to your problems, but you will still need to chaeck this out ASAP cause a burned arness can propagate even bigger problems and get very expensive.
DaveF2, those seem like great prices indeed. Cheaper and definitely better built then the stock one. In my case I love to fab stuff and count on my ressourcefulness. Don't mind saving money either so I can put it to other use.
My mode cost me 3 hours and about $15 in material.
