I think mine may have been a couple of inches short of 9', but certainly not much more than that if at all. It was completely a last minute thing and I will hopefully be better prepared next time. I found a post from BDFJ here where he talks about his custom mount on his roof rack and I sent Mark an email about ordering one, but I haven't heard back from him. I really like that because a) you don't have to maneuver a 7' flag in the truck and b) no matter what, your flag WILL be more than 9' off the ground.
