Re: Katie Layne

Picture without Blue Rings:

I want to also note that I ran for nearly 7,000 miles with the OME lift & no swaybar, it handled almost identical to with, steering was a bit touchier, but the differences overall was minute. Right now with the Fox setup I have the swaybar in, but will be removing it within the next twoish weeks.

On another suspension quirk, the AP UCA's: The bushings need to be greased VERY frequently, at least mine do, or they will deliberate with awful squeeking. I would say keep them greased every 1,500 miles.

The AP rear LCA's seem to be a bit more forgiving, they went almost 5,000 miles without requiring it (I won't let that happen again.) I then began hearing a clicking/clank every-time there was a change in inertia (Starting [0-5MPH] or stopping at any speed) which lead to a panic. I thought something was wrong with my rear-end etc... Novel, I know! Turns out the LCA's just needed a little love. I now grease them at every oil change interval.

A tidbit on the All Pro Front/Rear Bumpers in regards to the powercoating: I think that the powdercoating job from All Pro is relatively thin, less than 1MM in many spots (.88mm/.93 as I recall) my local powdercoating shop recommends 4mm. I only mention this because:I'm not the type that scrapes my skidplates up on hard-ass trails, much less the bumpers. After one winter of road-salt, it seems both front and rear bumpers have numerous small patches of rust. This is not a knock on All-Pro, just an method of calling to attention to for those who can prevent it.

The KM2s vs. the BFG ATs: The make a slight vibration between 0-10MPH, after that it goes away, and at high speeds they are at least x2 as noisy as the ATs, but as I recall the ATs made very little noise, so this is just for a relative comparison. If you have your AC on High, or listen to the radio, they won't bother you! I've only had them offroad for a short time, and in mud the seem to be a definite improvement over the ATs. (Is that surprising? ) Never had much of a problem with the ATs in rocks yet, and have not done any extensive wheeling in the rocks to comment, but I'm confident I won't be disappointed.
