What do you think about the Fortuner?

Hi!,

I'm not going to post something about my FJ, but of another Toyo. Since you guys are still 'toyoters' I thought it was worth a shot to see what you think.

We are in the process of changing my mother's Toyota Prado '98 and we are considering the Toyota Fortuner (http://www.toyota.com.ph/cars/new_ca...ner/index.asp).

Supposedly it's based on the Hilux, we are looking at a 3.0L common rail diesel, with 4x4 (transfercase H-L-Ll), automatic. No locking diff (any of the trims), but then our current Prado didn't have it either and we don't do tough crawling.

What do you think about this vehicle? It's a lote less luxurious than a Prado, but it's also US$ 15,000 cheaper here (Dom.Rep.). Also, less luxury features equals less stuff to break IMHO.
