In my opinion, it's a must-have. If you are off-camber or in mud, your Hi-Lift jack will either tip over or jack itself into the mud. The only safe option becomes the X-Jack, which you can use in addition to a Hi-Lift as a saftey measure in case the hi-lift slips (as they are prone to do - even with a WabFab).
