I'd ask but...really, I'm afraid to know. Given everything I have been experiencing lately. Tell me why is it, when I've been on virtual bedrest for two weeks, my foot feels like I've been training for a marathon these last couple of days! Grr....

I'd hate to think you'd contracted a foot drop, but it's possible. People on prolonged bedrest will actually stiffen up and lose the ability to dorsiflex the ankle. They'll basically get extremely tight calves.
I doubt this has happened to you.
Nevertheless, it's possible to get something like plantar fasciitis, and only begin to notice it once you're off your feet.
Either the foot drop or the plantar fasciitis would respond to good basic gentle stretching exercises... "physical therapy".
Worst case scenrio, of course... is that a prolonged bedrest after a sytem stress like surgery, leads to a deep vein thrombosis... which can break loose from the leg veins and float up through the heart and wedge in the lung. This can basically clog the heart-pump mechanism and interrupt blood oxygenation, causing sudden death.
Early signs of deep vein thrombosis include unilateral or assymetric leg swelling and stiffness with mild discomfort.
... I'm just telling you this for academic reasons... since I know you'd never actually worry about it.
