WTF??? Gee, not sure what you saw, but I viewed people making their own way through the wilderness without having to tell the gov't "build me a bridge so I can cross it". Without having to pay anything actually....That's the point of wheeling, is it not? Freedom to explore!
The point of the movie isn't about money, it's about view points and how things equal, pointed to the people who have never been out of the suburbs.
EDIT: I just watched it again to see if I missed something….and this video is NOT about money. It’s about time in the open and the reasons people use to close trails when they know nothing about what goes on out there.
Stay off your money tangent. He was simply pointing out that money is spent on docks while wheelin’ is cheap yet good for the environment.

I agree, it didn't seem to be about money at all.
But my interpretation was slightly different: more about the quality time spent with family and what happens when you let go of the city and get outdoors. Your kids talk to you, you bond with your dad, etc. etc.
I actually thought that was the most important point being made. And the need for the land and access being the means to a an end, not the end in itself.
But then, what do I know.....
