Damn thats alot of effort to save a few $$$$. I respect your ingenuity but I think the stock filter will keep more pollen,dust and polutents out. I had mine changed at the stealership and was hosed for $43.50 that included labor, owwcccchhh!! There must be a reuseable filter that can be cleaned over and over again.
