Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money
You get nice tires, good 16" rims, all weather mats throughout, bumper mounted front auxiliary lights, TRD exhaust, front and rear aluminum skids, Trail Teams badges and shift knobs, upgraded stereo system, blacked out bumpers, door handles, mirrors, and rims. And you get the solid white paint. I think the Off Road package has the same shocks but that's the only things they have in common. The tires in the TT package are a good bit better than the ones in the Off Road package if you plan to leave them stock until they wear out (like me).
I've never been one to modify extensively so getting these mods right up front was nice. I drive mostly on pavement but have started exploring some local forest trails since getting the TTSE and I really enjoy the experience so far. I see how the mod bug can bite now that I've seen some things off the beaten path. I'd like a lift kit for a couple extra inches of approach/departure and breakover, new front bumper and better skids all around, oh and the Gobi Stealth roof rack which goes on this week.
If you're going to replace most of what differentiates the TTSE from a stocker with after market parts I don't see the need to pay the premium for these extras which you won't use.
Good luck!
