Yes, you ordered the correct setup. The "pretuning" you speak of is the maps that you get depending on the aftermarket options you have (CAI and Exhaust). As is, your unichip is ready to go by simply following the install instructions and plugging it in. If you really want to get the most out of your chip, you can take it to a Unichip Tuner and have it Custom Tuned. I did this and got 15 more HP over the chip as it came from the factory. I paid just about $600 for the custom tuning. Here is a good thread on the Unichip with some Dyno Charts from my truck.

There are lots of other threads about the Unichip if you just use the search function at the top of the page. If you just have a CAI and exhaust, you probably don't need to have the custom tune. If you do other mods like headers and supercharger you will want to get it tuned for sure. Maps from the factory don't take these mods into account.
