Re: Is the TT model worth the extra money

Stopped at one of the nearby Toyota dealers this evening. They had a sandstorm FJ in the showroom that I took a look at (I decided I'm going with either silver or sandstorm). It was a manual which I didn't want, but they loaded every option available on it bringing the sticker to over $32k. The scumbag salesman left his pizza and slithered over to tell me that the FJs are really hot and hard to get and that this one is a special edition model. When I told him that the Trail Team is the special edition this year and it's white, not sandstorm he immediately changed the subject and started explaining how the sandstorm models were hard to get. Only problem with that there is another dealer further away from me that has 2 of them. When I told him that he shut up and backed off.

The search continues because I'm not buying anything from that dealer.

I finally decided to go with a base model with the CQ and offroad packages, a roof rack and trailer hitch (the C7 package). Hopefully I can find one configured like that for less then $32K!
