Similar question. I plan to get the 2" OME suspension lift for my FJ. I have the stock 17" rims with P265/70R17 on them. What is the largest tire size I could put on the stock 17" rims without doing any other modifications besides the lift? Also, I see a lot of people using BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's. Are these the best tires to get? I plan on doing some moderate off-roading, with a lot of city driving mixed in. Thanks for the help, and I love the forum.

A good off-road tire that behaves well on the street? I can think of 2 very good ones, but there are others.........BFG AT's and Nitto Terra Grapplers are the ones I am referring to though. The BFG's wear like iron and are more expensive than the Nitto's. The Nitto's are cheaper but are softer rubber, so they wear quicker. Both good though. And by going to 285/70/17.....you shouldn't have any rubbing issues if you use your stock wheels.
