Its coming from the front of the rear diff, where the bolts are, and it looks like the leak is from the bottom 1/3. Mechanic says the hit caused enough distortion to cause a leak, but that a fresh and tougher seal will fix it. Guess what I will be buying ASAP???? BTW, where the rock hit there is a small depression in the metal, I would say about 1/8 deep and the size of a dime or nickel located on the very bottom section of the diff housing, close to the drainage bolt. I'll take pics tonight and post. I hope there's no internal damage or I'll be the unluckiest dude. What's strange is that I don't remember hitting a rock, and Nicole drove most of the way and she is a heck of a lot more careful than I am. Thanks for asking Froggo!
