Depends on what you are looking for. My favorite is Marmol Radziner and Associates out of Los Angeles. Of course, you have to favor glass and steel construction, and have a few dollars in your pocket (about $285K for a 500 sq. ft. guest house).
I am looking at a 1100-1400 sq. ft home with guest house for a possible site in Twentynine Palms, CA (somewhat near Palm Springs).
