Question newbie question bout groups & M/G's

so im new here,
as you can see...

and was just wondering how this whole group thing works.
this is my first off road vehicle, and never really been off roading before.
i'd like to learn eventually because i do plan on building up my FJ.
also how those the whole meet and greet thing works as well,
i think thats some else i'd be interested as well.

well im from the San Jose, CA.
if that helps any, but havent really seem to find any
trails to go riding on,
anyone know of any local ones?

thanks..
