My 2007 Black Diamond

Well I think that I have done enough to my FJ to finally start a build up thread! First, I started out with new shoes. I bought a set of 16" American Racing Victors with "shorty" center caps. I put some Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs on them (265/75/16r).

I stuck with stock tire size because I use a lot of parking garages and I am afraid if I lift and add bigger tires I will have trouble fitting in some of them. Of course, if I take the rack off (which I might do) it will leave me some room to possibly do it in the future. Another reason is gas/mileage. I am also hesitant to do the body mount chop. Of course, knowing myself, this could all change when I get the "itch".

Next was the ARB bumper and OME suspension. I chose the ARB based on it's looks. I wanted to go with something lighter but did not like the selection. I almost went with the Demello bumper but did not like the angled winch opening.

To offset the extra weight of the ARB, I bought the OME 883s without new shocks. It was perfect. Stock, driver's side measured 34 3/8" and passenger's side was 34 1/2". A difference of 1/8", with a full tank of gas. Based on these measurements I did not add the 1/2" spacer. After the lift and the added ARB, driver's side measured 35 5/16" and the passenger's side measured 35 9/16". 1/2 tank of gas. A difference of 1/4". I do not notice the lean at all. I am debating on if I will add a spacer at a later date. The added 1" lift up front is very noticable and looks great. My FJ still has a slight rake to it as the rear measures 36 1/2" on the driver's side and 36 3/4" on the passenger's side.

So far, some of my future plans will include:
Lights, front and rear.
M8000 Warn Winch with synthetic rope.
Skid Plates.
And if it ever comes out, a lower profile roof rack.

I will update as I add more! Now I just have to get it dirty!
