I also not a fanny of the hi-lift for changing tire. If you must use it because you are bottomed out and can't get the bottle jack under there, use the hi-lift and then place some "objects" of your choosing that are stable under the axles or front skid to let the FJ rest on (and not rest on just the hi-lift).
