The Nikko "183108" number is for the 1/18th scale model. For the Tamiya Bruiser you need the 1/10th scale, the Nikko number for that is "103325BC".
I'm planning to do the same thing, except use the new Tamiya CR01 chassis (which happens to come with an FJ40 body). But then
I'll want to build both of them. Hmmm........
