Winch control box location?
I recently installed a warn winch in a Lucrum mount but have a bit of a problem. I do not want to mount the control box on the outside of the vehilce and want to put it under the hood. The problem with this is that the cables are all of about 12" and do not realy reach from under the hood out to the winch.
So, can I just replace the winch wires with battery cable wires from the auto parts store? If so will it hurt if the cables are 4 ga instead of 2 ga? All I seem to be able to find is 4 ga cables.
