But that's why we don't hang people anymore, because the majority of Americans are apparently not willing to make a moral judgement about child rape or anything else.
On another note, when I lived in Utah 30 years ago, there was no electric chair or gas chamber - capital punishment was by hanging or firing squad. Not sure if that is still the case now or not.
