Vampires and Werewolves oh my!

So my buddy got me to read Necroscope by Brian Lumley in college eventhough I wasn't into Vampires. I LOVED the series but didnt read any other authors. I recently saw the movie Underworld and while not perfect I really liked it (was suprised it only gets a 30% on RottenTomatoes); I hear the sequel isn't as good but I think I still want to check it out. So my question to the FJers is, what other good Vampire and/or Werewolf movies and/or books would you recommend???
