Re: Buy in Nor Cal, but register in Oregon?

Hey thanks Bam Bam,

I'd like to pick it up in Medford, or even a little further north. Buying locally is important to me. I'll give them first crack at it, they just don't seem to want to deal as much as the California dealers. I know exactly what I want, and I'll send the info to the fleet managers and internet sales managers at all the Oregon dealers and to the 30 or so Bay area dealers, get the best deal, and see if the Oregon dealers can match it. From all the information I've gathered, it's no problem to drive it out of state and register it in Oregon without paying sales tax. So if a dealer tells me that it's impossible, he's lost my business. Looking around at the dealers' websites (the ones that actually show the inventory) there seems to be a lot of FJ's on the lots.
