Where can I get a copy of this "acknowledgement"?
The "acknowledgment" comes in the form of Toyota authorizing all the repairs in this thread, in spite of all the after-market modifications that virtually every one these repair-authorized FJ has. If they didn't acknowledge it, that would've been their very easy excuse for not authorizing or performing the work.

Well, for one, at least, you can read through all of these posts and find the one where I relate that that was what I was told by my local service manager, who indicated that it also came from the regional Toyota technical rep, after both of them had my car for a day or two to go over - with LOTS of mods in place. Then you can print out that post, if you really need a hard copy.
X2. Again, if Toyota concluded that the bulging/ripping problem was the result of after-market mods, they wouldn't be acknowledging the fact that the two are completely unrelated.
