I have read of a few people doing that on their first oil change. The oil change experience is greatly improved over my old Tacoma. With the Taco the oil drain would splash oil up on the skid plate which would leak out in various spots later and the filter was a giant pain in the @ss. The wide hole for the FJ drain and the super easy filter changes make for quick drip free oil changes.
