here in OZ, almost every major offroad Comp.Truck is running Simex Tyres. Thes tyres arent absurdly narrow, they average 10.5-11.5 inches in width.

heres a link to a webpage with some spec, they are an extremely tuff/durable and high traction tyre - Dynamic 4x4, Simex 4x4, Sime 4x4, General tire, Dynamic Wheels, Sime, Grabber, Extreme Trekker, Wheels

honestly, Im surprised you Yanks havent caught onto these tyres yet for your competion trucks????
