Re: Does the windshield get removed when tinting?
I've had my old Honda's front windshield tinted and they apply it just like they would any other window. There is no removal of the windshield.
I'm still debating on whether or not I want the front windshield tinted. On our FJ's we sit about 2.5-3 feet from the windshield so we're not constantly getting baked. However at certain hours during the day when I drive into the sun I find myself getting cooked.
This is what my car currently looks like.

P.S. As for those complaining its illegal. I find it worth paying the $10.00 fine every couple of years to have the protection and privacy of dark tint.
