Re: Saving Private Ryan/Band of Brothers

Band of Brothers is without a doubt , the greatest WWII experience on film.
Saving Private Ryan certainly is in the Top 10 of WWII films

To round out a list of my Top 10 WWII films :

The Great Escape : not the greatest movie , but a movie you can't find
anything wrong with.
A Bridge Too Far : the best ensemble movie on WWII

The Train : WWII from a different point of view

Patton : a tour de force by George C. Scott

The Big Red One : will be appreciated as time marches on

The Great Raid : one of the few modern era WWII film that gets it right

The Longest Day : up till it's time of production , one of the best

Kelly's Heroes : the best comedy dealing with WWII

The Eagle Has Land : fictionalized action/adventure from WWII

Where Eagles Dare : again , fictionalized action/adventure from WWII
that is as good as it gets

I know that's a dozen - but I cannot find one to drop
