TRD was one of my very first mods. I'm really happy with it. I noticed a little extra pep and better throttle response, but the best part is the sound. Paired with some headers and exhaust it sounds great. They aren't all the same as some have a box and others have an open air dam. I think the box is better for keeping hot air out and it also may sound better because the box acts as a sound resonator.... maybe. I think TRD and AFE are the same thing. If you don't want to deal with oiling the filter, you can replace it with a dry type that doesn't need oil.
