I placed my order as well. Looks good from all the photos. Just a rookie question, is rust a long term issue where you scrape off the paint on the hinge?

You can, after you mount the Bandi Mount,
use a litte permatex or touch up paint around
the retailing nut to seal up the excess bare
metal... but the hinge is a cast steel item and
will not cause any issues for a long time !!!
I ordered the BigBill Cobra kit today. I thought his install was really clean. I also thought the mount was beautiful!! I've never used a CB before but the guys in the TLCA said I need to get one.

Mine just got primed (2 coats), and had its first coat done today!! Final go will go on tomorrow afternoon (also pickin' up my co-axial cable and antennea tomorrow as well)...Then installed Fri. before I go over to the West Coast of FL!!! Bought time is all I have to say...I've had my cb wired in my truck now for 2 months!!

Kinda sucks that you have to paint it yourself because whatever Bandi used was pretty darn durable and an exact match. On the other hand, I guess it'll get them out to y'all quicker.
