Re: A little help over here.

I would be a heck of alot more worried if I had
some real wide skids under there... All of AP's
skids are only as wide as needed... less blockage
of air IMO....

Re: A little help over here.

Dang, it looks good. Trying to get over the $$$ though. I know there is a lot of R&D and welding/machining in this skid, but I really wanted one of these without the P/C and added cost. I want to paint it red anyways. Terry said it's not an option on these.

Waa-Laa It's done and is super easy to install.

Transfer Case Skid:

Transfer Case Skid on steroids from ALL-PRO:
So, I will use the 4 black screws on the crossmember of the allpro skid? I will have to also drill two holes into the frame correct? The two longer bolts go into the main part of the skid on the drivers side and the two thicker bolts go on the passenger side of the main part of the skid.

Definitely wondering the same things. Potentially having to drill a hole in the frame is the part that's kept me from the install. I'd like to be sure that is what is necessary and whether I need to tap the hole, how those black screws work exactly, etc.

I don't understand why instructions wouldn't be included with the transfer case skid. The front skid and the transmission skid is simple. Im sure the transfer case skid is simple also. However, if it requires drilling that would be a good thing to know.

Does anyone know? I have sent a pm to the vendor a few days ago with no reply.

Im looking to know if the crossmember requires drilling 2 holes into the frame or 4? Do you just have to drill a pilot hole or wut?
I just drilled one. The frame has 2 bolts holes allready. I didn't bother with the drivers side hole because you will need a 90 degree or a small drill Motor.
Drill size is .250

Unbolt and remove these bolts first. and then attach All pro Transfer skid with the bolts provided.

Then use stock bolts on frame side in the holes provided and snug

Notice I didn't drill this side yet.. Drivers side. Snug the stock one.

These are the last bolts. Thighten all bolts to the crossmember I used the washers as spacers to help square it up.

Last thing is drill the 2 holes on the frame sides to finish.

The black frame screws work good. They are self tapping. Just screw in. Notice it's only 2 holes. The way the skid is made, Those bolts do little. it's the skid that holds on.
