The black frame screws work good. They are self tapping. Just screw in. Notice it's only 2 holes. The way the skid is made, Those bolts do little. it's the skid that holds on.
So the hole/s you drilled for the two lateral frame locations is 1/4" and then the black screws are self-tapping? Did you replace the existing bolt that holds that bracket on the passenger side with one of the provided "self-tapping" screws or did you just reuse it?

When you say, "use the stock bolts on the frame side", what are you referring to?

When you pulled the long OEM bolts (driver's side) from the frame were you supporting that cross member? Should we be prepared for anything shifting out of line?

Thanks DP.

I had some Extra Toyota Bolts. You can get them at a auto store. But since All_pro Provides 4 self tapping frame Bolts and washers, I suppose you can use them. They are the same size. I forgot about that, Hope that is clearer. sorry.

I was prepared for shifting when I pulled the bolts out of the crossmember. I put a jack under there. But it didn't really shift. Good observation.

Re: A little help over here.

Well I finally found time to install the All-Pro Transfer Case Skid. It was very easy to install (hour), however I need to find a smaller drill in order to drill out the one remaining hole on the drivers side frame. I like the looks of it much better than the wimpy OEM T-case skid. Thanks All-Pro!

I used the original long bolts (cross member) for the side frames. I drilled both sides of the frame. For better drilling position (remove the running board (if you have one) start drilling for the outside.

When drilling the side frame on (driver side), make sure the brakes lines are not disturb.

I also added the skids for the lower links and rear shocks.

Re: A little help over here.

Got my transfercase skid in the mail today, all is good except there are no instructions and no hardware... This thread will remedy the instructions as well as anything possibly could, my shop is supposed to install it and a few other things tomorrow prior to Moab this weekend; does anybody have a list of the specs of the bolts/washers used/I'm assuming they're something I can purchase locally?
