Rear Diff/E-locker Breather Kit

Howzabout marketing a kit for this?

Numerous threads on the board with plenty of folks having done the research and put forth some great ideas to extend the breather to the engine compartment or inside the cabin.

I can scrounge up the parts myself but would rather pay you guys $50 for a nifty little kit.

just out of curiousity why do ppl think they need a breather kit? We drove our FJ across the pond 4 times. Just installed 4.56 gears there was no water intrusion at all

I would rather spend $30 on relocation of the breather, as opposed to having my rear get trashed because of water damage. Any off-roader that runs in water will allways have there breather relocated up high on the vehicle

When you are wheeling the diff fluid gets hot, you hit the water and it can be sucked back into the diff because it had just cooled down, especially if you spend extended amounts of time in the water. Or if you were to get stuck then you would be fawked trust me on this, people have said they have contaminated their fluid by doing what you have just said. It's an easy simple fix I can show you a video on youtube about diff breathers if need be!!!!!

Yeah, I've crossed some deep areas...I'll be doing this for the added piece of mind. And it is a good opportunity for someone to make a kit w/instructions if they wanted. I could see them selling here and on ebay.

Re: Rear Diff/E-locker Breather Kit

Anyone who questions the need should see Stoney's thread:
Dash lit up like a Christmas Tree

Like I said, I have the wherewithall to create my own kit but based on the execellent stuff that All-Pro comes up with, I think they are best-qualified to create and market a nifty little kit.

And since I nominated them for this important task that will bring them untold billions in revenue I get the first one for free...

EDITORIAL COMMENT: I know that cursing Toyota is a no-no here, but if you market a vehicle that is advertised as having a 27" fording depth (as stock) and people have problems like Stoney did, you should really (like really, really) step up and offer this yourself at no charge and free labor.... although I ain't exactly holding my breath....
