question about vsc....again

In the NOV 07 issue of Petersen's 4Wheel&Off-Road under the "Nuts&Bolts" section in the mag ,somebody wrote in asking if there is a way to disable vsc and Petersen's said that All-Pro knows how to disable it. So i was wondering , is it the same as this......

Re: question about vsc....again

I've tried both the Scion and 4 Runner traction off switches and neither work, the only way I know of is by the purple wire cut & switch install.

Re: question about vsc....again

You can cut the blue-yellow- grey stripe wire and switch it. Its the same wire that is used in the Atrak hack. When it's switched the VSC and the abs are turned of. You are able to turn them back on without restarting your rig. It's an on/off option. The other option does not turn the abs off and the vehical must be restarted to reset the vsc. IMO the blue wire is the better way to go.

From what I understand that also throws a code that way, whereas the purple wire just interrupts the VSC and keeps your brakes working as they should.
